Welcome to the webpage of the church of St Mary the Virgin, Studham

Our next service is on Sunday 21st July at 10.30am and is Holy Communion Modern with Children's Church

St Mary's, the Church of England parish church of Studham, is set at a tranquil corner of the village, but it is also one of the main spiritual and emotional centres of the community. The church and churchyard are a unique haven of peace and timeless contemplation. Normally kept open during the day for visiting and prayer, the church was consecrated in the year 1220 and contains fine medieval stone carving in the Early English style.

We are once again joining the 'Thy Kingdom Come' initiative, a world-wide wave of prayer from ascension Day (30th May) until Pentecost Sunday (9th June). Please visit the church (LU6 2NW) to take part in our interactive display and do join us on Pentecost Sunday for a concluding Messy Church celebration.
